Aegina Island, Greece
The Pistachio Island
You Arrive
Once more we invite you to spend a week in the late summer in a secluded island paradise with yoga in a very special magical house. This time with a new program and a new guest teacher.
Aigina (Aegina) is a smaller island in the Saronic Gulf of the Aegean Sea. This hidden gem with rich ancient and modern history is only a 40-minute sail away from the capital city of Athens.
Aigina is famous for the omnipresent pistachio trees. This pink-inside delicacy is so famous there that in Greek a pistachio is called “the nut of Aigina”. On the island you can buy almost everything made of pistachios.
The House and its Magic
You Simmer Down
Our destination is the serene southern part of the island, still not too far from the island's picturesque harbour and main town.
Our place of retreat on the island is a unique 19th century villa located outside of the main port town, hidden from the tourist life and surrounded by an enormous garden. Just a stone’s throw from the beach, the secluded house offers an absolute peace and magical atmosphere, perfect for deep thoughts and yoga practice. The house's two floors and multiple terraces with sea view is the right place to sooth the ever-busy mind.
The incredible ambient and atmosphere of the villa and its "secret" garden, as we call it, will make you not wanting to leave — ever.
Nourish Yourself.
Just simple things: Yoga, Nature and the Sea
You Are Nourished
This retreat is something we all crave of summer, the sea, nature and island vibe. Add to it plant-based food cooked on the spot by the fantastic Greek-Mexican-sister duo and obviously the HIGH ON YOGA-style dynamic vinyasa practice — you know you are in for a treat you need.
There will be time to intensify your yoga practice as well as to enjoy some free time on a Greek island far from tourists and off beaten paths.
During the retreat will go on an excursions, including one bigger to the nearby tropical islet with its paradise-like turquoise waters.
The ancient temple of goddess Afaia is also on our list.
Arrive,
simmer down,
breathe
and
let your
soul get
nourished
in this villa and
its Mediterranean
garden
